Yesterday I was lucky enough to be given the chance to 'Go Ape' at Black Park in Iver, and is there any better way to spending a Saturday?
The staff were super friendly and the registration process was quick and easy. There was roughly 20 of us, so I thought that there would be a lot of waiting around on the ground, but there wasn't, which was good. I was also a bit worried about having to do all the cable work myself, but after they had given us the proper training, I felt very comfortable with ascending into the trees.
The course itself was so much fun, and I loved every second of it. There are several zip lines, and 2 Tarzan swings to enjoy. You feel really safe when in the trees and each obstacle is challenging but doable.
The only downside to the entire day was the tree bark. at the
bottom of each Zip-line, you land into a large pile of tree bark. Yes; this does make it a softer landing, but it is the most uncomfortable thing in the world when you end up with tree bark everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE! I would suggest wearing jeans with a belt, as leggings were not the best for keeping bark out of places where bark should never be. Apart from that, and the sore arms due to my lack of upper body strength, the entire day was awesome, and made even better by such a lovely group of people who I am proud to call my friends.
Talk to you all soon.
Stay Snazzy

Top tips:
- Wear old, comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. I'm all for looking awesome all the time, but trust me; be comfortable rather than fashionable.
- There are water fountains full of drinking water at the start of each station, so you don't need to worry about going thirsty.
- They have Riddles at the bottom of each station, as they know that when there is a large group of you, there is a lot of waiting around for your turn to climb.
